SCANDIFORMS round

Inner-Ø: 38 x 20 mm high
Flexible embedding mould. SCAN-DIA offers a wide range of silicone rubber embedding moulds. SCANDIFORMS are very flexible and absolutely dimensionally stable. The cured specimens can be easily de-mounted without leaving any residue and without the need to grease the mould. The SCANDIFORM can be reused immediately after each application. Caution: When using different SCAN-DIA mounting media, the mounting moulds should be used together and the different shelf lives should be observed. With polyester resin, e.g. SCANDIPLAST, the moulds are suitable for several thousand embeddings, with acrylic resin, e.g. SCANDIQUICK, for about 100 embeddings and with epoxy resin, e.g. SCANDIPLEX, for about 25-30 embeddings.

The EMBEDDING KIT for Perfect Embeddings in Materialography

Precision and reliability play a paramount role in materialography. For this reason, it requires sophisticated yet practical tools to achieve excellent and reproducible results. The EMBEDDING KIT is one such highly specialized tool designed for the cold embedding of samples, proving to be an indispensable addition for materialographers and experts in materials science. The kit comprises several carefully selected components that together enable seamless and efficient sample preparation. The silicone rubber base, measuring 250 x 300 mm, forms a sturdy foundation for the entire embedding process. It provides an ideal surface for work, ensuring cleanliness, and preventing contamination during embedding. The mixing cups, another component of this set, feature graduations for precise measuring and mixing of materials. This is crucial to use the right amounts of hardness equalization powder and other substances, ensuring that the embedding material is perfectly tailored to the samples. The set includes 20 high-quality glass stirring rods that deliver excellent mixing performance, ensuring a homogeneous distribution of the embedding material and helping minimize unwanted irregularities or air bubbles. Another component of the EMBEDDING KIT is the 200 paper discs with a diameter of 20 mm, used for specimen marking. These elements allow for the precise identification of samples and their positions, significantly facilitating subsequent analysis and documentation. The EMBEDDING KIT thus represents a well-thought-out system that significantly simplifies work in materialography. It has been designed to ensure precision, consistency, and efficiency, meeting the requirements of experts in materials science. In summary, the EMBEDDING KIT is a crucial tool for materialography, combining precision, functionality, and quality in a set that ensures reliable and meaningful results in sample preparation.
